Custom Fits
Our custom fits are designed to ensure that you feel more comfortable and efficient so you can get the most out of your custom bike. Our fitting process includes an assessment of:
- Riders needs
- Riding style
- Rider flexibility and range of motion
Once we have made the assessment the following will be adjusted:
- Saddle height, level and fore/aft position
- Stem length
- Bar height and width
- Positioning of controls
We guarantee all our fits and suggest you put in at least 10 to 15 hours of riding to get used to bike. If you have any questions or concerns call us and make an appointment for a re-fit. Parts in good condition (i.e. stem, seatpost) may be swapped for those of equal value. Upgrade charges may apply.
Custom Suspension Tuning
We custom tune all full suspension bikes we sell. Suspension settings are based on the type of bike, rider’s weight and riding style. Typically once the suspension is set up all you have to do is check and maintain your air pressure settings. We also custom tune the dampers on the bike. Dampers control the speed and resistance of the suspension travel. The rebound and compression damper settings will not change. Once set we recommend that you don’t make big changes to them. Any major adjustments can adversely affect the performance of the bike. We do provide you with all of your suspension settings that way, if you make any changes you’ll know what to go back to.
Suspension Maintenance
To maintain the high performance, safety and long life of your fork, rear shock and suspension pivots periodic maintenance is required. The recommended service interval is 6 to 12 months. If you ride more often or in extreme conditions maintenance should be performed more frequently.
Shock Pumps
It is advisable that only the shock pump that comes with your bike be used to add or let air out of your shock. Thread the pump onto the shock’s air valve until pressure registers on the pump gauge. Pump to the desired pressure setting. You can decrease pressure by pushing the black bleed valve. When unthreading the pump from the air valve fitting, the sound of the air loss is from the pump hose, not from the shock.
